Baby T's Newborn Photos With Parents In Fort Collins

There's something incredibly special about the first days and weeks with your newborn. These fleeting moments are filled with pure love and joy, and capturing them allows you to remember these sweet times forever. Recently, I had the honor of photographing Baby T's newborn photos with parents in Fort Collins, and it was a truly beautiful experience.

The Importance Of Newborn Photos With Parents

One piece of advice I always give parents is to remember to be in the photos with their baby. It's easy to focus solely on capturing your newborn, but including yourselves in these moments is so important. In the years to come, you'll cherish looking back at how tiny your baby was in your arms and the love that surrounded your family during those early days. These photos will become treasured memories, sparking conversations and stories as your child grows.

My Personal Journey

My journey into maternity and newborn photography has a deeply personal "why" behind it. Three years ago, my own experience with pregnancy and new motherhood in a challenging time profoundly shaped my perspective on the importance of capturing these moments.

We were living in Scotland, which sounds glamorous and adventurous, but our reality was quite different at the start. In December 2020, the UK entered a strict lockdown, shutting down all businesses, gatherings, and even limiting us to one outdoor walk per day. These restrictions lasted for almost four months. Being pregnant with my first baby during this time was incredibly isolating. We couldn't meet new friends or enjoy the rich culture Scotland has to offer. (Don't worry, after Theo was born, restrictions lifted, and we did have an amazing experience living there.)

In the midst of the hardest, loneliest winter of my life, I set my camera up on a tripod in our tiny bedroom and took maternity photos. Even though it was difficult at the time, I’m so grateful I have them to look back on. This winter—and all the ups and downs that came with it—is a huge part of my motherhood story.

I had always been interested in newborn and maternity photography, but this experience really drove home how important these memories are.

Why I Do What I Do

When you hire me for a photoshoot, my goal is to give you more than just beautiful photos. I hope to show you the beauty in your family, especially when life feels a bit (or a lot) turned upside down.
