Baby N’s Newborn Session Experience

Baby N made my job a breeze during his newborn session! He was sleepy and content throughout, which enabled us to capture countless beautiful details and moments with Mom and Dad. Their preparedness and relaxed attitude ensured a stress-free atmosphere, which was further enhanced by the cozy studio setup. With warm temperatures and soothing white noise filling the space, Baby N was perfectly relaxed and comfortable, allowing us to focus on creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.

The Review- “Amanda was wonderful to work with. She made the environment comfortable for all of us and the pictures turned out beautifully. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking to capture the sweetest moments with their new family!”

What to Pack

Here is a short and sweet list of things to bring to your session:

1. Feeding supplies. If breastfeeding, wear a top that is breastfeeding-friendly! If bottle feeding pack extra supplies - sometimes babies eat more than usual during their session! It's hard work being the center of attention!

2. Pacifier. Even if you don't plan to use one going forward, pacifiers are so helpful in keeping your baby settled during transitions.

3. Diapers & Wipes. Self-explanatory :)

4. Dress baby in a loose, front-opening sleeper so we can easily undress them without disturbing them too much.

That’s it! You really only need to pack a few essentials. I'll take care of the rest! Blankets, wraps, and diaper covers are provided by the studio. You're welcome to bring a special outfit or item from home if you'd like!

Choosing Your Perfect Outfit

When considering what to wear for your baby's photoshoot, opt for neutrals and earth tones as they photograph beautifully in the studio's space. This timeless color palette ensures the focus remains on your faces, capturing the essence of the moment. Remember that the studio is kept warm to ensure your baby's comfort, so choose light and breathable clothing to avoid overheating. Most importantly, wear something that feels like you – whether it's a gown from my client closet, a neutral top paired with a light wash denim, or a cozy loungewear set. The key is to feel comfortable and confident, allowing you to fully relax and enjoy the process without any concerns about an uncomfortable outfit.

What to Expect During the Session

On the day of your session, offer your baby a feeding when you arrive at the studio. There's plenty of time set aside for this, so no need to rush. We want your little one to start off with a full tummy to help keep them content throughout the shoot. We will also take breaks as needed throughout the session if baby gets hungry again.

Remember that there's absolutely no pressure for your baby to "perform" a certain way during the session. We will read their cues, meet their needs, and go with the flow. Whether they are sleepy, wide awake, or a bit of both -  we'll capture a beautiful gallery of priceless moments.
